In the blog, I will provide regular evidenced-based, non-partisan information on migration based on the best research and data.
I decided to launch this new blog to counter the many myths and propaganda that abound on this topic, with the pro- and anti-migration camps enormously exaggerating the harms and benefits of migration by cherry-picking only the facts that fit their narrative and ignoring all the rest.
To begin, in the coming weeks and months I plan to dissect a range of 22 popular left- and right-wing myths about migration, at a pace of about one myth per week (at least, when I am not doing fieldwork or on holiday). As far as I can find the time, I also plan to provide regular commentary on current migration events.

This will be the companion blog to my book How Migration Really Works, in which I debunk 22 popular myths about migration. In the book I present a radically new vision of migration, a scientifically grounded paradigm, which is based not on political interests or ideological views but instead looks at migration as it is.
